Contemporary society is witnessing a significant increase in anxiety disorders, constituting a serious public health problem. The relevance of the topic emerges from the debilitating impact these conditions have on quality of life and collective well-being. This study's main objective is to analyze the phenomenon of the rise in anxiety disorders, investigating its sociocultural determinants and public health implications. The methodology adopts a qualitative approach, carried out through an integrative review of scientific literature. The main results demonstrate that factors such as digital hyperconnectivity, pressure for performance, and social isolation, intensified by the pandemic, act as chronic stressors that increase psychological vulnerability. It is concluded that the rise in anxiety is a complex phenomenon, symptomatic of a broader social malaise, the overcoming of which demands an integrated approach that acts not only on treatment but also on the promotion of healthier and more resilient social environments.
