ADDICTIONS AND SCHOOL: THE EDUCATOR'S ROLE IN MEDIATING RISKY BEHAVIORS

This study explores the complex intersection between school and the manifestation of risk behaviors related to addictions among students. The theme's selection is justified by the increasing visibility of challenges such as substance use and technological dependence within the educational environment, demanding a deep understanding of the educator's role. The main objective is to analyze the teacher's performance as a mediator in the prevention and intervention of these behaviors, outlining pedagogical and welcoming strategies. The methodology employs a bibliographic approach, based on a review of specialized literature, which allows for mapping existing theoretical perspectives and pedagogical practices. The findings indicate the necessity for continuous professional development for educators and the implementation of integrated prevention programs. The conclusions underscore the school's capacity to establish itself as a space for protection and development, where teacher mediation proves to be a cornerstone for promoting youth health and well-being.
